Jake Creek Pecans

Pawnee
Pawnee is larger than the average pecan and has a delicious sweet, buttery flavor and a dark golden color. It is one of our most popular varieties and makes a beautiful pecan pie. It is also great for snacking.
Kanza
Kanza is a medium size nut with a round shape. It has a sweet taste, a golden color, and a delectable flavor. It is preferred by our bakers and closely resembles the "native" pecan. It is also a customer favorite.
Gardner
Gardner is one of the earlier maturing cultivar nuts. The parent tree is right up the highway in Gardner KS. It has an attractive and bright kernal and is great for baking! Unlike the Kanza, the Gardner pecan is more delicate so it has fewer halves and more pieces.
Shepherd
Shepherd is also one of the earlier maturing cultivar nuts. It is a good size pecan with a beautiful golden, light brown color. It is similar in flavor to the Pawnee
Goosepond
Goosepond is the first variety of pecan that we harvest. It has a longer body than most of our other pecans. It is light in color with a very mild taste. It is quickly becoming a fan favorite.
Pricing
Jake Creek Pecans offers pecans in a variety of package sizes. Again this year, we are offering 1/2 pound packages
of shelled nuts. This size is great for gift-giving or snacking. It is a wonderful present for
family, friends, co-workers, teachers, coaches, babysitters, etc. As always, we will have shelled pecans packaged
in 1 pound bags.

The best selling package is the 2 pound bag of <10% shell pecans available in Pawnee, Kanza, and Goosepond. This is the best bang for your buck, but be warned, you will need to pick out a few small shells!
The 3 pound bag of cracked pecans and the 5 pound bag of whole pecans are only available by calling the orchard to place your order and arrange pickup during November and December.
Beginning with the 2025 harvest, we are raising our prices to cover increasing costs in our economic world today.
